If you’ve ever taken your dog to the park, you know how absolutely excited he can become over being taken to a new environment. Even if it’s only a few minutes from your house, to the dog, it feels like it’s a whole new world that he gets to explore. But every responsible pet owner knows that getting your dog to that new location is not as simple as throwing the dog into the back of the car and taking off.
Rather, every dog should be strapped into a dog safety harness in order to ensure that he makes the trip safely and securely. Even if you were involved in a small fender bender, you dog might sustain serious injuries by not being strapped in. You wouldn’t ever consider starting the car if your child wasn’t properly strapped in, so why would you change your rule for your pets? Make sure that everyone is safe and secure before you ever even turn on the engine, and you’ll always be better safe than sorry.
