We always love to hear from our customers. We especially love it when they share pictures of their pets. We recently received two great reviews for our pet travel products.
Viv in Canada purchased a Hatchbag pet car net. We don’t usually ship to Canada because of the expensive shipping, but an exception was made because Viv originally purchased the pet car net in the US but it was too big. So we exchanged for a different size and sent it to her in Canada.
“Got the net – see attached photo. my puppy is VERY happy ! Thank you !”
Thank you Viv! You puppy must be the big cuddly kind.
Thanks for sharing your experience and for sending us a photo (above).

Charlotte in Arkansas purchased a Lookout pet safety seat. She has not sent us a photo yet, but here is what she has to say about her new pet safety seat.
“We received the pet safety seat and after some adjustment (pinning the harness strap to the vehicle seat belt and less slack on the harness strap) to prevent jumping out – Lucy and I are enjoying our rides together much more safely. She loves sitting up so high and looking out the window in the back seat. Good recommendation from our point of view! Thank you!”
Thank you, Charlotte! We are glad Lucy is riding safe and that she loves her new pet safety seat.

The pet net for cars is used to keep your dog in the back seat. Keeping your dog in the back seat means that your dog won’t distract the driver and your dog will not fly forward in the front seats in the event of a car accident. There are many pet net brands for cars, but two stand out as the best – The Pet Net Brand and Hatchbag Pet Net. While both provide the same protection for your dog, both differ in size, price, and installation.
Size Comparison of The Pet Net Brand and Hatchbag Pet Net
The Pet Net Brand comes in two sizes – standard for cars and large for SUVs The Hatchbag Pet Net for cars, however, has five different sizes and are more customized to fit your vehicle. The Pet Net for cars will block above the seats almost to the ceiling and the center between seats. It does not block the sides, very top, or very bottom. If your dog doesn’t try to climb over, under, or on the sides, then this pet net will work perfectly. However, if you have a more persistent dog, the Hatchbag Pet Net offers more coverage. The gap on the top, bottom, and sides is much smaller – about an inch or two.
Price Comparison of The Pet Net Brand and Hatchbag Pet Net
The Pet Net for cars is currently priced at $29.99 for the standard and $39.99 for the large. The Hatchbag Pet Net is currently priced at $74.99 for all five sizes. Why the price difference? That is something you would need to ask the manufacturers. Both pet net brands are made of strong and durable material and are safe to use. Other than sizing and installation differences, we see no differences in the quality.
Installation Comparison of The Pet Net Brand and Hatchbag Pet Net
The Pet Net for cars has a bungee attachment system which is super easy to use. It also makes it easy to remove and place back in without any hassle. The Hatchbag Pet Net for cars uses a dual lock fastener system. This system uses barrel locks and non-permanent adhesive backing which you stick onto the interior molding of your car. The adhesives are super strong and can only be removed with adhesive remover. The adhesives and adhesive remover will not damage the interior of your car. While the adhesives stay, the Hatchbag Pet Net barrel locks allow for easy placement and removal of the pet net. Sounds complicated but it is easy to use than it is to describe.
Protect your dog with a pet net for cars. Whether you choose The Pet Net Brand or Hatchbag Pet Net, you can be assured that your dog is safe. If you get into a car accident, your dog will not fly forward and hit the front passengers, or fly forward and out the front windshield. The pet net for cars is not the ultimate safety method but it is a good alternative for dogs who won’t wear their dog seat belt or won’t tolerate being confined in a pet travel crate.

Both the Kurgo Cargo Cape and the Hatchbag Cargo Liner are at Pet Auto Safety.com. The Kurgo Cargo Cape is similar to the Hatchbag Cargo Liner in that it protects the cargo area of your SUV from dirt, muddy paw prints, and general wear and tear. And like the Hatchbag Cargo Liner, the Kurgo Cargo Cape is waterproof.
It is different from the Hatchbag Cargo Liner in that the Kurgo Cargo Cape comes in just one size. The Hatchbag Cargo Liner is custom made to fit your vehicle, whether you have a small SUV or a large one with both the 2nd and 3rd row seats out or folded down. Because the Hatchbag Cargo Liner is custom made to fit your vehicle, it takes some time before it is shipped out.
The Hatchbag Cargo Liner lines the interior edges of your cargo area. It lines the walls up to the windows and lines the back of the front seats. The Kurgo Cargo Cape simply lines the floor and has short edging to trap dirt.
Another difference in the Kurgo Cargo Cape is that it is made from durable canvas material while the Hatchbag Cargo Liner is made from durable Vinyl. Both materials are hardy and waterproof. But where the Hatchbag Cargo Liner can be wiped clean, the Kurgo Cargo Cape would need to be machine washed.
Both the Kurgo Cargo Cape and the Hatchbag Cargo Liner are great high quality products. If you needs something quick, relatively inexpensive, and/or just for the covering of the floor of your cargo area, then the Kurgo Cargo Cape is for you. However, if you need something to custom fit your vehicle and to protect the entire cargo area, then the Hatchbag Cargo Liner is best.

The Hatchbag Pet Car Net at Pet Auto Safety.com comes in five sizes. That can be rather daunting for someone shopping for a pet car net for their vehicle. It takes time to measure your vehicle and compare it to the sizes on the website. Then there is the question of where to measure.
Well, we have good news. Pet Auto Safety.com has an application guide which we can use to determine which size of pet car net your vehicle needs. Since all sizes are the same price, you do not need to worry about choosing the wrong size. Simply order the size you think you need, then indicate your vehicle year, make, and model during checkout. We will compare your vehicle with our application guide, and exchange for proper sized pet car net as needed. If you don’t want us to exchange the size of pet car net you selected, simply type “generic” in the place which asks for your vehicle information.
This is a feature available only at Pet Auto Safety.com.

Cargo Area Liners are great for SUVs, station wagons, and mini vans. Cargo Area Liners keep muddy paw prints and scratches from damaging the interior of your vehicle. Not only that, it keeps dog hair from getting lodged in the fabric of your interior. As any pet owners who allow their dog in the car knows, pet hair is very difficult to remove from fabric.
The Cargo Area Liner is made of industrial grade, waterproof, heavy-duty vinyl coated polyester fabric. It is double sewn at the seems for exra strength. The Cargo Area Liner from Hatchbag® is easy to install and fits most vehicles. For older cars, the Cargo Area Liner uses Velcro type fasteners. For 2007 and current vehicles, the Cargo Area Liner is attached using hook/tab fasteners which slide between your window and the interior molding.
A long-time user of the Hatchbag® Cargo Area Liner says, “I can only imagine what my van would look like without the cargo liner. I take my dogs to the lake at least twice a month in the spring, summer, and fall. If it wasn’t for the cargo liner, my van would be a muddy mess and the smell of wet dog would be overwhelming.”
